Supporting Families First Outreach Worker.
Temporary 9 month contract covering maternity leave.
If you want to join a dynamic, supportive children’s service who provide excellent developmental opportunities for staff then Worcestershire Children First is the employer of choice.
Worcestershire Children First is a company responsible for delivering services to children and young people across Worcestershire on behalf of Worcestershire County Council.
Our Supporting Families First team are looking for candidates who will keep a relentless focus on positive outcomes for our children and young people.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, all working together to help families stay together where safe and appropriate to do so. We develop our staff to be confident and dynamic practitioners who work collaboratively with families, using a strengths-based, Signs of Safety approach to enable lasting and positive change for young people and families.
The service consists of three teams, covering the whole of Worcestershire. You will be directly managed by an Advanced Social Work Practitioner. Our service also has a Clinical Lead over-seeing CBT work with families and managing three Emotional Health & Well-Being workers. Other disciplines in our service include three Youth Mentors, one Money Mentor, three Substance misuse workers and three Family Meeting coordinators all supported by our Administration staff.
Within your Outreach role you will work directly with families in their homes and local communities. Your core task is to build relationships with children and families, to facilitate the progression of plans for children and parents through direct multi-disciplinary work.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a service setup in January 2020 but already seeing evidence of good outcomes for families.
To apply please send a CV and covering letter detailing the reasons why you should be considered for this role to socialworkopps@worcestershire.gov.uk
