Worcestershire Children First is responsible for delivering services to children and young people across Worcestershire on behalf of Worcestershire County Council.
Our Supporting Families First team are looking for candidates who will keep a relentless focus on positive outcomes for our children and young people. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team with the key priority of strengthening families to ensure children continue to live at home where it is safe and appropriate to do so. The service consists of three teams, covering the whole of Worcestershire. You will be directly managed by an Advanced Social Work Practitioners who manages a multi-disciplinary pod within Worcestershire.
Our service also has a Clinical Lead over-seeing CBT work with families and manages three Emotional Health & Well-Being workers. Other disciplines in our service include three Youth Mentors, one Money Mentor, three Substance misuse workers and three Family Meeting coordinators all supported by our Administration staff. The Service is overseen by an Experienced Senior Social Work Manager.
Within your Outreach role you will work directly with families in their homes and local communities. Your core task is to build relationships with children and families, to facilitate the progression of plans for children and parents through direct multi-disciplinary work.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative service set up in January 2020 where we are already seeing evidence of positive outcomes for families.
