We are looking to recruit two full time Independent Chairs; the position is 37 hours per week and paid PO3 with 2 Market Forces increments, giving a total possible salary of £47,108 per annum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team in the Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service lead by Daniel Gray, Group Manager/Principal Social Worker. The Team is operationally managed by Karen Green (Practice Manager Child Protection & LADO), the wider service includes Advanced Practitioners and Independent Reviewing Officers managed by two other Practice Managers. The team is well supported by our Business Support Team.
With a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation you will provide expert advice and guidance to Social Workers, Team Managers and partners who are dealing with highly complex situations - being responsible for independent chairing of Child Protection Conferences and Position of Trust Meetings. The team work on a rota basis to cover both functions.
You will be experienced and qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, who has a solid knowledge of policy, legislation and good practice experience within child protection practice, and can demonstrate a strong commitment to strong multi-agency working and child focused practice. You will have extensive experience of chairing complex and challenging meetings, the ability to manage difficult conversations and have a good understanding of risk and safety planning.
