Green Spaces Strategy Lead
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the creation, development and delivery of a new Green Spaces Strategy for Warwickshire.
About the Organisation
Warwickshire County Council is a top performing two tier authority with a reputation for innovation and efficiency. If you can match our ambition to drive Warwickshire County Council forward, we would like to hear from you.
About the Team and the Role
The role sits within the Green Spaces & Rural Economy team, which is part of the Infrastructure & Sustainable Communities Group within Communities Directorate. This is a new team, which incorporates Warwickshire’s Country Parks and Greenways and which will lead the development and implementation of the Council’s commissioning intentions and approaches to green spaces.
You will be responsible for coordination of decision-making and delivery of relevant activities, such as those related to public health, education and commercial opportunities, including major cycling events and events at Country Parks and other council assets. You will work closely with other teams within the I&SC Group and across the council to achieve your objectives, as well as developing relationships with partners and other relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a similar role involving strategy development, project management and partnership working. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work under pressure are also key requirements for the role.
