Salary: £32,234 - £36,922 per annum (pro rata)
37 Hours per week
We are seeking a passionate individual with experience of working in an adult social care setting.
Staffordshire County Council’s Brokerage Service plays a crucial role in sourcing care and support services to meet adult social care assessed needs whilst delivering best value for the taxpayer. The Brokerage Service is looking to recruit a Brokerage Senior Brokerage Liaison Officer to continue to develop and drive forward this dynamic service. There is a crucial role to be played in supporting prompt and effective discharge from both acute and non-acute settings, this role is pivotal to supporting the urgent care sector.
This key role will take responsibility for the support of Brokering various services across Older People, Physical and Learning Disabilities and Hospital Discharge, to identify and unblock any barriers and to ensure appropriate escalation of these. In addition to this a key function is to ensuring Home First capacity is maximised. As such we are seeking to recruit an experienced individual to the role of Senior Brokerage Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will require extensive knowledge and skills across this broad agenda in addition to excellent inter-personal skills.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the on-going development of a new and developing team. To manage unpredictable daily changes and demands, using initiative to organise daily duties whilst adhering to SCC policy and procedure to meet service demands, seeking guidance from operational managers when required. This position requires working closely with the Council’s Commissioning Team, Commercial Unit and Quality Assurance Team, so that any gaps in market capacity can be quickly identified and resolved. There is a need to also link closely with care providers, giving them as much information on future and present demand as possible. In addition, the role requires close working with our Health partners in facilitating safe and effective discharges.
