Part Time Commissioning Officer (0.5 FTE with flexibilty)

Based at: The Offices of the Police and Crime Commissioner,

Lloyd House, Birmingham, B4 6NQ

Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you relish challenge and variety in your working day?  Do you want to make a difference at work? This post will support the Chief Finance Officer of the West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner’s office (WMPCC) to lead for the OPCC on a range of commissioning projects and policy areas while providing advice to the PCC, Head of Policy and colleagues on designated portfolios. To lead the implementation of commissioning activity, planning and development.

The post will play a leading role in providing support to the commissioning activities of the Victims portfolio in the PCC’s office,  including tender preparation, award of contracts and all related processes. The Victims portfolio is partnership intended to support  activity across many organisations within the West Midlands, in order to help victims of crime feel supported.

Successful applicants will have experience of providing development, review and implementation of strategies with knowledge and experience of complex commissioning, working with partners and delivery structure relevant to the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
