Income Management Officer
£22,627 - £24,491 per annum
NJC Scale 5
37hrs/week
The Corporate and Capital Finance Team provides financial support, information and advice to Service Areas across the Council assisting them with the effective and efficient delivery of their services.
We are seeking a conscientious individual with a finance or business background to fill the post of Income Management Officer. This is an important role with responsibility for ensuring the accurate recording of receipts and payments into/out of Telford & Wrekin Council. Working within the Corporate Finance Team the post holder will report to the Income Management Supervisor and will form part of a small team responsible for producing an accurate cash book which feeds into the Councils financial ledger and Statement of Accounts.
The role will require you to interrogate and interpret information held on multiple systems so good analytical and ICT skills are essential as well as being able to work accurately and methodically. The ability to communicate effectively, both within the team, with other Council officers and with our external customers and other organisations, is important to ensure the smooth running of the service. The post holder will have good mathematical and logic skills in order to perform financial calculations and solve problems. On the job support and training will be provided.
