Independent Chair – Walsall Safeguarding Partnership (Adults and Children)
Walsall Safeguarding Partnership are seeking applications from individuals whose passion, vision and commitment to safeguarding some of the most vulnerable members of society matches, and challenges that of our own.
This role requires an outstanding individual with proven experience of managing complex issues and meetings at a senior level, particularly in partnership settings, and who has a significant operational and strategic understanding of the safeguarding agenda. The successful candidate will need to evidence they can:
- Consistently provide strong leadership, strategic vision;
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
- Demonstrate experience in building and maintaining productive partnerships;
- Analyse complex information and provide robust scrutiny and challenge.
- Have detailed understanding of relevant regulations
- Have the ability to ensure all partner agencies in Walsall collaborate effectively to safeguard children, promote their welfare and improve outcomes

Note: This is a tender opportunity. The successful person will contract directly with the Council and will provide the services detailed in the duties and specification documents and will contract under the Councils terms and conditions.
The fees paid for this role will be on a day rate basis. The contract term is 12 months with an extension option of 2X 12 months and the annual value is estimated at up to £43,200 based on attendance of 72 days per annum. This contract is “for services” and will sit outside of IR35. It is not an employed position.
