Family Support Worker
We are looking to recruit two Family Support Workers to join Compass with a focus on supporting and driving the child exploitation agenda. These are newly created posts and is an exciting and unique opportunity to become involved and play a key, positive role in this area of work.
As a Family Support Worker you will complete all the missing return home interviews with children who do not have an allocated social worker and help to deliver an intervention to those young people and their families who are identified as being at risk of exploitation and those who are being exploited. You will work with a range of professionals and families across Shropshire. You will gain excellent and varied opportunities for developing your knowledge and skill set, strengthened by regular, high quality supervision and training opportunities.
We are very proud of the services that we provide to children in Shropshire, which Ofsted gave a ‘Good’ rating in October 2017. We are committed to ensuring that our staff have the tools to deliver effective services to children and their families and that work in an environment that encourages practice to flourish, creating good outcomes for children and their families.
Ideally, for either role, you will have grounded work experience relevant to the advertised role, however, we will consider any potential candidate that shows an aptitude for the role and strong willingness to undertake training for the role.
