Job Title: Project Support Officer
Salary: £23,632 - £25,579
Full-Time: 35 hours
Location: Worcester
Permanent

Worcestershire County Council is one of the largest and most progressive employers in the region. We serve citizens living in Worcestershire, and are responsible for a huge range of services to local people. Our communities are at the heart of everything we do, and they have shaped our four priorities:
• Open for Business
• The Environment
• Children and Families
• Health and Well-Being

You will be joining the Directorate of Economy and Infrastructure (DE&I) which is a diverse directorate covering areas from Economy to Waste Services, from Broadband to Highways Maintenance. Our officers range from qualified engineers, planners, surveyors to archaeologists who support those who live, work or travel through Worcestershire.

This is a varied role within DE&I. The successful post holder will be supporting projects across the Directorate, particularly in the Broadband and Project Office areas, where you will be managing your own works streams of specific projects.

This post's responsibilities will include supporting projects in areas such as monitoring, governance, budgeting, bidding for funds as well as maintenance and interrogation of specific systems.

The post holder will need to have experience of working within a local authority environment, ideally a knowledge of applying PRINCE2 principles within projects and experience of dealing with or working on transport related projects. Having your own initiative and bringing a 'can do' attitude are key to this role.

We are inclusive – this is really important to us and we are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer.

Disability Confident is helping us recruit and retain great people to meet our workforce needs.

If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please let us know.

Application Closing Date: Tuesday 26th January 2021,
Proposed Interview Date: Anticipated 9th February 2021
