The City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking to strengthen its ICT service, recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Our aim is to provide an exceptional service which includes providing advice, support and implementing solutions to 4500 customers in an enterprise environment.
The Infrastructure Engineer will be part of a friendly and energetic team with the ability to champion a culture of change and improvement. With responsibility for the day to day operation and support of our server infrastructure, including related software, services and applications. You will provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support within Microsoft and Unix server environments with management of data storage, archive and backup of Infrastructure
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to relay technical information to a variety of audiences on a number of levels.
You will have experience of working in an ICT technical environment administering a Windows and Unix environment along with server virtualisation and clustering technologies. This will include Active Directory, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM) and SQL.
Experience of working within an Azure platform would be advantageous.
You should have technical based ICT qualifications or have at least similar level job experience of performing an ICT infrastructure role and can demonstrate this through application and interview.
