Finance Administrator – Client Welfare Services, Ref RT64520
Salary G4 £19,503- £21,533 per annum
Full-time / Permanent Position
As a member of the Client Welfare Services Team within Financial Administration & Support Services, you will be responsible for delivering effective business processes and liaising with other partners and stakeholders in the delivery of services.
The role will specifically involve the delivery of financial administration support functions for appointee and deputy clients who fall within the Adult Social Care Directorate. This will include the payment of adult social care provider invoices and other liabilities including timely payment of personal monies. The role will involve accurate validating, processing, and recording of financial transactions within the social care client record system. The duties will also include being responsible for receipt of Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) monies and completing DWP applications for receipt of benefits.
This is a customer facing role and as such you will be expected to communicate verbally and deal effectively with enquiries from all sources, taking appropriate action to resolve queries where necessary and preparing correspondence as appropriate. This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.
To be successful you will have experience of working in a financial administration environment, together with possession of or willing to study GCSE business or office qualification at pass or higher or equivalent experience gained at appropriate level. For this role the successful candidate must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identify and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central governments and local authorities. A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification.
