The Growth and Investment Team in Worcestershire County Council lead on several projects to facilitate business creation, innovation, growth and expansion within the county.  We are also working with our partners to support businesses to adapt under the challenging circumstances, never has it been so important to support our local business community.

We are looking for a Business Growth Manager on fixed term contract to March 2023 to work with partners to develop and facilitate the delivery of projects to support business. The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and an ability to speak to businesses, political figures, senior leaders and contractors. The successful candidate will show a real enthusiasm for supporting SMEs within the County and have a 'can do' attitude. The role will also include developing our virtual delivery offer or when circumstances allow, organising events of various sizes across the County, developing work streams around the key business sectors, as well day to day contract management. It an exciting opportunity to be part of the project development, scoping, potential bidding and project delivery.

The team is currently working from home due to the coronavirus guidance, however Worcestershire County Council operates a policy of flexible working and staff regularly work from home or an alternative work base, typically two days per week or 40% of their working hours.
