We are looking for a Children’s Social Work Manager to join the support and supervision team within our fostering service to work on a job-share basis. We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable practitioner who can support the team and our foster carers to meet the needs of children and young people in care. We want all of our looked after children to be cared for as part of a family in their local community for as long as they need to be in care. We want every child and young person to be safe, healthy, achieving in education, enjoying time with family and friends and gaining all the skills they need to be able to live independently when they reach adulthood. Our fostering service is key to achieving these aims.

Our priority in Herefordshire is to keep children safe and give them a great start in life.  It’s the priority for the council, our partners and for all of us who work in Children’s Wellbeing.

How do we do this?  By having dynamic, dedicated, passionate and professional staff who work in a culture that focuses on what we can achieve with children, what they can achieve themselves, and the relationship we build with families and partners to enable this. This role is offered with a £5,000 market forces supplement.
