This is a very exciting time to be joining Redditch Borough Council as we embark on a journey of transformation and improvement across Housing and Neighbourhood Services.
We are now recruiting Housing Revenue Officers to a newly forming Housing Revenue team within the Housing Service. We are looking for knowledgeable professionals who are enthusiastic and are passionate about the customer, putting them at the heart of all activities that ensure all the Councils housing related income is paid in full and on time.
You will be a specialist in account management and arrears / debt recovery and proactive in making early interventions, giving appropriate advice and support from a range of sources to maximise income, prevent escalation of arrears and ensuring that legal action is the last resort. The successful candidate will be required to have excellent understanding and experience of operating income collection and debt recovery processes for the full range of Housing Revenue streams across relevant tenure types. You will also be able to demonstrate you implement protocols and have up to date knowledge of the welfare system. You will be methodical and thorough in your approach to work and have effective listening, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as being a creative problem solver who puts the customer first, while balancing the needs of the service.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday 1st February 2021.
Interviews will be held by Skype or Teams during week commencing 8th February 2021.
