Deputy Head Teacher Based across both St Alphege Infant and Junior Schools Required for Summer 2021 SALARY: L9 - 13

Due to the forthcoming retirement of our popular and long standing Deputy Head Teacher an exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and exceptional individual with a proven track record in leadership in schools to join our highly supportive team as Deputy Head teacher.

St Alphege Schools are very popular and happy Federated Church schools with a 60 place nursery. The Infant School is located in the town centre with the Junior School a short distance away on a separate site. We are successful Church schools, committed to our Christian vision and to inspiring children to achieve their full potential.

We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Deputy Head Teacher who is able to build excellent relationships within the Federated schools team and work in partnership with the Executive Head Teacher and governors to continually improve our very successful and popular schools. Candidates must:

• be supportive of the Federated schools Christian vision and values

• have experience in senior school leadership, ideally as an assistant head teacher or deputy head teacher

• be an organised, confident leader with good interpersonal skills

• have exceptional pastoral and communication skills.

• be an outstanding class teacher with the ability to motivate and support colleagues

• be passionate about children’s learning and progress

• have a good understanding of effective, inclusive education

• have a good knowledge of curriculum development
