Senior Archives Assistant

Wolverhampton City Archives

Grade 5 / LPP 12 -16 (£23,541 - £27,041) pro rata

24 hours per week, Wednesday – Saturday (including regular Wednesday evening and Saturday morning working)

We are looking for someone to join the thriving Archives service, delivering a high quality public service to all customers. You will have experience of providing services to the public, supervision of staff or volunteers, and be familiar with using archives. You will have good ICT skills, and an interest in preserving Wolverhampton’s heritage. You will support on the delivery of national partnership projects with heritage organisations, and deputise for the Senior Archivist in both operational and professional elements of the Archives function. You will oversee the delivery of events, displays and exhibitions, as well as being the first point of contact for volunteers and local community groups. You should have a keen interest in history, and be committed to making it accessible to a wide range of different people from all sections on the community.
