Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3
Location: Old Hall School, Bentley Lane, Walsall, WS2 7LU
Accountable to: Assistant Headteachers
Contract: Apprenticeship period - 24 months
32.5 hours a week, term time only
Salary: The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £4.15 an hour. Apprentices will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over AFTER completing their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.45 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £8.20 an hour for 21-24 year olds and £8.72 for anyone aged 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that is part of their apprenticeship.
Qualifications required: GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is also desirable.

Old Hall School is a specialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities. The post holder will be joining our vibrant team as we move forward with mission to provide excellence in nurturing, developing and shaping young lives.
