Job Details
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Taxi Licensing Team as a Licensing Officer. We are looking for a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a difference.
You will assist in the processing of applications for driver, vehicle and operator licences in line with the Council’s Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy, give advice and guidance in licensing matters both on the phone and in person and give evidence in court in person as and when required.
As we operate an appointments system, officers would be required to be available during office opening hours which are 8am till 12 noon and 1pm to 4pm Monday to Thursday and until 3.30pm on Fridays.

You must hold, or be prepared to undertake BTEC qualifications offered by NALEO or licensing qualifications offered by the Institute of Licensing, or have 3 GCSE’s Grade C or above including English and Maths or equivalent.
