Social Work Advisor Educator
Fixed Term 6 months
Salary of up to £19,710 (based on 21hrs per week)
The Social Work Academy was launched in January 2018. It is well established and supports Adult and Children Social Workers at all levels in their career, with a focus on students, Apprentices, Newly Qualified Social Workers and Practice Educators. There's never been a more important time to join our Academy Team alongside making a difference to the lives of people in Worcestershire. The Social Work Academy offer social workers a career development pathway with access to high quality and diverse continuous professional development (CPD). This is clearly aligned to the Social Work frameworks (Professional Capability Framework and Knowledge and Skills Statements) and SW England Professional standards.
This is a specialist Practice Educator role funded by West Midlands Teaching Partnership. The role is a fixed term contract, it is funded for 3 days a week (21 hours) for six months. However, subject to evaluation, the post could be funded beyond six months.
You will be supporting, developing, coaching and mentoring students and Practice Educators within the Child and Adult Social Work workforce through their career development pathway. You will join a team of experienced Practice Educators who are passionate about ‘making a difference’ to the social workers they support and their practice with children and adults. The team thrive in making learning dynamic, diverse, innovative and in line with the changing landscape of social work.
This is a diverse and varied role, offering the right candidate an opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge across Children and Adults Social Work and remain up to date with the national, regional and local social work developments and research.
The hours will be worked over three days a week with flexible working available.
