We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Learning Support Assistant to support our growing and thriving Outstanding school.
The successful candidate will assist teachers with an agreed system of supervision, implement work programmes with individuals and groups as well as produce resources under the guidance of the teacher. You must have a proven background of successfully working with children. You must be able to form good working relationships with students, be an excellent role model and have excellent skills in responding to and resolving complex behaviours. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and ICT skills and a passion and desire to work with pupils from a variety of backgrounds. They must be dynamic individuals who are able to respond to the changing demands of daily school life.

The school caters for 222 pupils aged 7 -19 years with a wide range of Special Educational Needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time only + INSET Days. Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri: 8:40am until 3:15pm (including 30 mins lunch break). Tues: 8:40am until 5:00pm (including 30 mins lunch break) plus 20 mins contingency time.
Grade: Grade C, SCP 5 - 8, £19,312 - £20,493 p.a. This is the full time salary and will be adjusted according to hours/weeks worked
