Head of Clean and Green & Leisure - Ref: EE42620

£73,632 - £80,024 per annum

Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your expertise to make a real difference? As our new Head of Clean and Green & Leisure you will be responsible for a large team of staff delivering frontline services, including grounds maintenance, waste management and leisure. Walsall is proud of its heritage as one of the four authorities that make up the Black Country, a region recently awarded UNESCO global geopark status.  Local ingenuity shaped the industrial revolution and the modern world.  Our PROUD transformation programme is now shaping an exciting future for Walsall.

This is a career defining opportunity to be part of the Council’s new management team, providing customer-focussed, value-for-money and outcome-based services. Degree educated (or equivalent) and an analytical thinker, you will have delivered clean, green or leisure strategies, combining short-term reactive work with shrewd long-term planning.

In addition to our PROUD transformation programme, there will be exciting major projects ahead for you. These including a joint venture to construct a cutting edge material recycling facility and a new £20M household waste and recycling centre and transfer station.

Join us in giving our all, and put your all into Walsall.
