Dudley MBC has a strong commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for Care Management, we are seeking to appoint experienced managers to lead in the delivery of high quality services to our children, young people and families.

Hours:  37 per week

Salary:  Grade 14

Location: Corbyn Road, Russell's Hall Estate, Dudley

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dudley as part of it’s journey through organisational change.

You will be expected as part of the senior management leadership team to drive and contribute to the strategic direction for Children’s Social Services. You must have experience of operational management within a children and families social work setting and able to engage effectively with our communities and staff.

You will have an understanding of the implications of the changing legislative and policy framework for Children’s Services and as an innovative leader you will be able to build strong cohesive partnerships and achieve positive improvements to the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

You will need to have a recognised qualification in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
