Domestic Assistant

Salary: £17,842-£18,198 pro rata

£9.25 per hour

 

Howbury House is 32 bed residential home for people who need care and support and are living with dementia. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission. We are increasing our staffing levels on a permanent basis and have 2 domestic assistant posts available. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring people to join our team to enhance the lives of our residents and ensure a safe, clean homely environment.

We are an established team of dedicated staff and are very proud of the work we do and are looking for caring people to share our commitment to provide the best care for our residents.

The successful applicant must have the ability to listen and communicate orally and in writing. To be physically able to use cleaning equipment such as hoover, carpet cleaners and industrial laundry facilities. The ability to work as part of a team but also be able to work on own initiative, be caring, compassionate and motivated. An understanding of the rights and needs of older people and the ability to treat people with dignity and respect and as individuals.

We have 2 part time permanent position of 20 hours per week, this is worked on a two - week rota basis including alternate weekends and bank holidays which are paid at an enhanced rate.

Howbury House also provides an excellent induction and training package to include the Care Certificate. You will receive regular supervision and support. 

In return, we expect you to be reliable and committed to the aims of the team.
