Headteacher - Springfield School

Springfield School provides education for children with special educational needs and disabilities from the ages of 2 to 11. Our aim is to create learning environments and experiences where every child is engaged, can grow and be successful. We aim to create a hub of inspiration from which, children and staff develop their independence, skills and interests.

Following the retirement of the dedicated and much loved Head of School, Springfield School is looking to appoint a dynamic and passionate Headteacher from September 2021.

The school forms a partnership with The Meadows School under the leadership of an Executive Headteacher and a joint Local Academy Board. Over the last four years the pupil population of Springfield School has grown by 30% and its teaching staff has doubled in size. Springfield School is now in a strong position to appoint a substantive Headteacher to develop the school even further. The Executive Headteacher will remain responsible for Partnership activities and roles however the new role of Headteacher will be directly responsible to the Local Academy Board and the CEO of the Trust for the outcomes of Springfield School.

This is an exciting time to join the school and lead the team working with the wonderful children of Springfield. The School is constantly improving thanks to an exceptional team of teachers and support staff. The school has developed an effective partnership with the Meadows School, making the best use of resources and providing an enhanced level of support to families. The school is also part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust. A special school Academy Trust consisting of 10 specialist schools from across, Staffordshire, the Midlands and soon the North West. The Trust works on a collaborative model, ensuring that every school gets the most from being a member.
