We have an opening for a Governance Apprentice to work within the Governance team in supporting the Council and with the full range of democratic and legal services to support decision making and statutory obligations.

You will undertake a relevant qualification in public administration whilst learning how a local authority operates and the legal and governance processes that support it. You must demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills which you can adapt as appropriate to suit a variety of audiences. Ideally we are looking for an apprentice with the confidence to undertake projects and research independently, with an eye for detail and an interest in democracy. Some evening work will be required.

You will need to be fully conversant with using Microsoft products and comfortable in using virtual meeting platforms.
