As part of our Governance team we have an opening for a Governance Officer to work closely with our Regulatory, Housing and Health and Operational Services teams to provide a full range of democratic and legal services to support decision making and statutory obligations.
You will plan, organise, host and clerk committee meetings and hearings, providing support to the committee. You will also participate in managing complaints and investigations relevant to this area, along with supporting senior officers to develop reports and gather and present evidence for scrutiny committees and task groups.
You will hold or be prepared to undertake a recognised qualification in governance or public administration, you must demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills in a busy team, as well as evidence excellent communication skills which you can adapt as appropriate to suit a variety of audiences. Some evening working is required.
