Working Hours: 20 hours per week Term time plus 3 weeks (42 working weeks)

Post One:  0600 – 0900 + one hour per day off site for administration (4 hours total per day)

Post Two: 1530 – 1830 + one hour per day off site for administration (4 hours total per day)

In both posts we are looking for flexibility

Salary: Grade 5, (£10.21 per hour, annual salary £9,862.00)

The Post:

As a result of continued expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within Penk Valley Academy Trust for a part time Cleaning Coordinator. The role is ‘hands on’ and the candidate must have ‘hands on’ and management experience in all aspects of commercial cleaning.

The role will report to the Catering and Cleaning Manager, working 20 hours per week. You will be a field based coordinator with multi- site operations so must be able to travel between sites.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have an eye for detail.

The purpose of role is to provide line management to cleaning staff within Penk Valley Academy Trust, ensuring a first-class customer experience to our schools.

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Supervision and training of Cleaning staff, with focus upon performance and conduct.
  • Ensuring quality of cleaning at sites.
  • Managing work schedules and completing time sheets.
  • Ordering cleaning materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Chairing meetings with employees as required
  • Providing cover duties as necessary

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to adhere to standards and procedures.
  • Confidence in the supervision of employees
  • Good interpersonal skills
