Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint a qualified, inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our strong and dedicated team.

Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, and health related disabilities.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil and will truly hold the pupil’s well being and learning at the centre of all they do. They will have experience and knowledge of sensory processing disorder, sensory impairments, medical needs and behaviour which can challenge in a school setting. The successful candidate will be able to form positive and professional relationships with the pupils they work with, as well as understanding the wider needs of the class and school. They will have the ability to maintain good communication with a range of professionals and work in a proactive way.

The post is Grade 5 (SCP 6 – 9, £19,698 - £20,903 FTE), term time only, temporary position, which will start on 8th March or as soon thereafter.
