A vacancy exists for an Apprentice Regulatory Services Officer within the multi-disciplinary Community Protection Team.  This is an exciting time to join a busy team and to support its ongoing development as it works with to make a real difference to the lives of our residents, businesses and visitors in Walsall.

The work involves enforcement of a wide range of legislation covering issues such as licensing enforcement, anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance, environmental crime and unauthorised encampments,w giving the post holder the opportunity to take a holistic approach to problem solving and to promote proactive initiatives to improve the quality of life of people in the Borough. 

We are looking for a self-motivated officer with experience in an enforcement environment or other experience relevant to the role. 

As an Apprentice you will:

  • work alongside experienced staff
  • gain job-specific skills
  • earn a wage (we pay the ‘wage for age’) and get holiday pay plus a pension
  • study towards a recognised qualification with paid time off to study

Apprenticeships are now available to all ages and at all levels including Higher and Degree Apprenticeships so if you are someone looking for a Career change then Apprenticeships may also be something for you!
