Business Advisor (Accountant)

Lichfield District Council have an opening for a part time Business Advisor within their Finance team. The team performs a key role in supporting the Council’s front line services deliver on its promise to improve lives by delivering great services to the residents of Lichfield District. This is a part time post for up to 32 hours per week, ideally worked over 4 or 5 days.

Working under the Senior Business Advisor, this is a professional role that will involve a high degree of contact with Budget Holders and Heads of Services, focusing on supporting them in all aspects of their finances, including forecasting, assisting in financial business cases, and advising on the financial procedure rules. You would also deputise in the absence of the Senior Business Advisor for supervising accounts payable and income allocation. As a team we actively encourage looking at new ways of working to create streamlined and efficient processes.

Fully CCAB qualified, you will be a strong team player and have relevant knowledge and ideally previous experience of working in a Local Government Finance environment. Excellent communication skills are a must, together with the ability to confidently deal with people at all levels.
