A unique opportunity for a forward-thinking educational expert with a track-record in school transformation to work as a senior leader in our Multi-Academy Trust.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspiring headteacher to initially lead our school in Handsworth, Birmingham, with the prospect of developing the role into a centrally based role. Your time with BDMAT will start by transforming the delightful St Michael’s Primary School in the vibrant area of Handsworth. Once the school is on a secure path to success, we will then utilise your skills across the Trust through supporting other BDMAT schools and leading on specific projects across the Trust.
We are seeking to appoint a person who is able to develop and lead an ethical and moral vision and who fully understands the Trust’s distinctive Christian ethos. At all of our schools we aim to provide an outstanding education, set within one of the fastest growing Multi-Academy Trusts in the UK. We want to equip our pupils with academic achievement, experiences, and personal attributes to enable them to succeed in the next stage of their education.
St Michael’s C of E Primary School is part of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) and therefore will be supported by and connected with a network of other schools within the region. The Trust was established in 2017 by Birmingham Diocesan Board of Education, which has a strong track record of providing excellent educational provision and achieving rapid school improvement across all phases. The Trust currently has 17 schools, all primary, spread across three local authority areas: Birmingham City (9 schools), Warwickshire (6 schools) and Solihull (2 schools). In addition, we are building our first secondary school, Christ Church C of E Secondary Academy which is due to open in Yardley Wood in September 2021.
Closing Date: Wednesday 10th March 2021 at 12noon
Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 23rd March
