The Role


To take responsibility for the well-being, pastoral care and academic progress of students in school, with a specific focus on Years 10 to 13.

Fixed term contract 12 months from start date


Key Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- First Aid at Work Certificate (or willingness to train for qualification).

Experience:
- Experience of working with young people.

Essential Characteristics:

2Effective interpersonal skills including excellent listening skills. Confident and effective communicator with experience of dealing with challenging people and situations.
3A self-starter, able to work independently as well as to be part of a team, an innovator who is capable of seeing projects through to a successful conclusion.
4The jobholder must be able to prioritise and be proactive. The jobholder must reflect the school’s core values (striving for the heights, care, respect for and service to others) and who has a sense of humour.
5The jobholder most have outstanding organisational skills.
6The jobholder needs to have some good analytical skills and be able to find solutions to complex problems.
7The jobholder must be capable of working under pressure.
8The jobholder must be capable of working flexibly.
