We have a number of fixed term vacancies, 12 to 18 months in durations.

We are looking for dynamic and self-motivated Project Managers who wants the responsibility for implementing solutions that deliver benefits and improved outcomes across the county.

One exciting opportunity that has arisen due to recently securing funding for time limited capital investment programme of works at our 3 Warwickshire County Council Gypsy and Traveller sites.  A project manager is required to lead and realise the work for the investment fund. The funding enables one site to be redeveloped with community engagement to deliver a good standard housing accommodation for the Gypsy and Traveller Community. The project will involve the engagement of tenants to realise the removal of the current housing option and replacing it with day room provision, which will assist the County Council to reduce maintenance costs over the coming years. There is an opportunity to work with partner organisations and the community to ensure the site is well designed, providing clean, safe livening accommodation for the community.

Other projects to help Warwickshire to bounce back after Covid are challenging but rewarding.

We are looking for project managers who have a good track record of successfully delivering projects, with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in stakeholder engagement and management. You should have a positive approach and be able to manage demands and conflicts in a calm professional manner.

 

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • A hands-on PM - with recent evidence of successful delivery of projects
  • Significant stakeholder management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of planning and legal process
  • Knowledge and / or experience of the governments good practice guidelines for “Designing Gypsy and Traveller Sites”
  • Desirable- experience of working with deprived communities
