Job Details
The department of Highways Services is responsible for delivering a range of operational services including Traffic Management, street lighting, highway maintenance, parking control and highway drainage etc.
As a Senior Parking Officer (Parking Enforcement) you will be responsible for managing parking contracts relating to the issue of Penalty Charge Notices(PCNs), removal, cash collection, Notice Processing, Appeals service, Cash Collection, Enforcement, Traffic Enforcement Centre, Traffic Engineers, School Crossing Patrol Service and Bikeability. Production; Analysis and report writing of statistical contractor data, is one of the many duties you will be required to carry out. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and best customer care practices in enforcement.
With experience of managing budgets you will also have dealt with the general public, local authorities and external agencies such as Police. Good oral and written communications skills are essential as you are required to draft complex correspondence, reports and liaise with senor council members.
You must have 5 x GCSE A-C grade or equivalent including Maths and English.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Parking Enforcement services Enforcement Operations.
Proven computer skills and the ability to adapt to bespoke systems.
Individual Membership of Industry association or willing to take this up immediately if appointed (BPA).
