This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional and proactive individual who will be a leader and a partner to our elected members, helping them to deliver their vision. You are a forward thinking, collaborative and creative individual.

The post holder will build on the high-quality reputation of the Council.

Responsible for both the strategic development of the service and overseeing the operational management of its component parts, you will make sure the instructions of the Council are carried out.

The post demands high levels of personal autonomy and creative leadership skills, providing the information required to councillors, so that they can make effective decisions.

You must have recent relevant experience and hold, or be prepared to work towards, the Certificate in Local Council Administration. You will be the RFO (Responsible Finance Officer) and Proper Officer. However, we would consider delegation of the RFO designate for the right candidate.
