Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex communication and interaction difficulties. A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis. Students bring a range of abilities and aspirations, special educational needs, vulnerabilities, challenges and behaviours.  Student attainment covers the full National Curriculum and GCSE/vocational range.

We are seeking a highly driven and creative specialist Maths teacher to work alongside our Maths Curriculum Leader to deliver the subject throughout the school and across the full ability range, ensuring that students maximise their potential, including at GCSE level.

The school has been awarded NAS Autism Accreditation and a comprehensive package of training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be required to promote a collaborative team approach to develop a dynamic department, where students extend their abilities as a result of high quality staff input. The ability to inspire students across the full range of abilities, to engage in Maths, will be an essential requirement. The post will also involve a pastoral role.

Applications are welcome from teachers with experience in primary, secondary, mainstream or special sectors, including NQTs.

Application forms and further details are available by contacting the school on 01676 540218 / mwilkinson@corley.coventry.sch.uk and on the school’s website: www.corleycentre.co.uk.  Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact the Headteacher for an informal discussion. Visits to the school can be arranged within our current Covid-19 measures. All applications are returnable direct to the school at mwilkinson@corley.coventry.sch.uk
