Job Details
To support in English, up to and including GCSE Level
Corley Centre is looking to appoint a Teaching and Learning Assistant to contribute to and support student learning within Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, mainly in English lessons although also in other subjects.
Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex communication and interaction difficulties. A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis.
Governors are looking to appoint a calm, creative, enthusiastic and hard-working individual, with a positive mind-set, who is prepared to contribute fully to all aspects of school life and work as part of a dedicated team to enhance our students’ learning and personal development.
The successful candidate with demonstrate high standards of literacy in reading, writing and spoken language and will be skilled in utilising this knowledge to engage, support and develop the literacy of students up to GCSE level.
This post is particularly suitable for a graduate seeking school-based experience or existing support staff with experience of working within a school’s English department.
The school has been awarded NAS Autism Accreditation and a comprehensive package of training will be provided to all new staff.

35 hours per week
Term time only (39 weeks)
