Required to work in a, state of the art, integrated voice and data IT environment utilising the very latest virtualisation technologies of both VMWare and Citrix.
Main responsibilities will include providing LAN / Desktop support, via a small helpdesk environment, to the Academies staff and students.
The Academy runs a mixed thin client, PC and mobile end point devices utilising both virtualised servers and desktops throughout the Academy. Training can be offered in these virtualisation technologies if required.
Ideally you should have 2 years+ experience of Windows 10 and Office 2019/ 365 and be comfortable with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software. You should be familiar with the implementation of Windows Group Policies and AD.
Exposure to as many of the following would be an advantage: Office 365, VMware server virtualisation, Citrix XenDesktop and Xenapp, IP telephony, SAN’s, Microsoft AD and group polices, Azure, SCCM and BYOD.
Any Microsoft / Vmware or Citrix certifications will be seen as a distinct advantage though not required for the position as training will be given if required.
You must be tenacious, have a good sense of humour, excellent communication skills and show patience when dealing with non technical colleagues and students.
