The Role

Significant Adult Worker - Coleshill and Kingsbury Consortium

An exciting new opportunity to work with children and families in the Coleshill and Kingsbury Area.

The Coleshill and Kingsbury Consortium is a group of 10 schools in the historic and picturesque rural area in North Warwickshire. The area lies north east of Birmingham and Solihull and south east of Tamworth. This region is easily accessible from M6, M42 and M6 Toll motorways.

Collectively we have schools with caring and inclusive staff, delightful school environments and wonderful children.

We are looking to appoint an experienced TA/ Support Worker to act as a ‘Significant Adult’ supporting children and families in the Coleshill, Kingsbury and Atherstone area.

This position offers flexible working potential with 25 hours per week (Term Time Only) but must also fit around working families and their availability.

We believe this role can make a real difference to the lives of children and families and could be a hugely rewarding experience.

This new role is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2022.  Travel allowance for travel between schools and families (where applicable) and a Laptop/mobile phone will be provided.

Key Requirements

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with and supporting children and families - ideally, (but not essentially) in an education setting. This position offers flexible working potential.
We are seeking a hardworking and committed colleague who shares in our passion of making a difference to the lives of children.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, with a collaborative and friendly disposition, who can work as part of a team and will take initiative in leading collaborative working in all of our schools. Someone who can make a difference.

This is an exciting project in partnership with Warwickshire Local Authority, aimed at supporting children within our North Warwickshire schools. It will provide an opportunity for significant professional development including working within a growing network of professional support.

You will be required to work closely with schools, families and professionals to enable children to reintegrate into a local school and to support children who are experiencing difficulties within their school environment.

Empathy, being child-centred, pro-active and having flexible approach is essential. Applicants should be proficient at using meeting apps such as MS Teams or Zoom, but should also have their own transport as a number of schools are in rural locations.

An understanding of and a commitment to safeguarding is vital to this role and the recruitment is subject to safer recruitment processes and checks.
