FLOOD RISK PLANNING AND PROJECTS OFFICER

Salary:  £32,234 to £36,922 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

Increased prosperity and a vibrant economy are at the top of the County Council's objectives and the Highways and Built County team has a central role in supporting this agenda.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, pro-active professional to work on a range of Flood Risk Management projects, studies and schemes. You will support the development and implementation of policies, systems and processes in support of the Lead Local Flood Authority role including flood investigations, assessment and data management, securing funding for schemes, sustainable drainage systems, planning processes and land drainage enforcement and consenting. During a flood emergency, the post holder may be required to take part in major incident response.

The Flood Risk service has a proven track record and is nationally recognised for its work and excellent achievement of delivering priorities including the provision of a flood risk management service to a number of neighbouring Lead Local Flood Authorities

You will have experience of the day to day delivery of flood risk services and working with other partner organisations and highway services to promote joined up and efficient flood risk management.
