As a Youth Offending Worker for the Trust you will

  • Be expected to be flexible across the range of Youth Offending Service responsibilities, including Restorative Justice, Court Cover, Case Management and delivering interventions. 
  • This role will mainly be based in our Out of Court Disposal team – engaging young people to divert them away from the criminal justice system. As such the candidate will need to be passionate about prevention with young people and dedicated to a creative approach to engagement.
  • You will have a National qualification in a Youth related subject/Social Work.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in a Youth Justice setting or YOT with case management experience.
  • Have experience of working as part of a multi-agency team, preferably in Youth Justice or a related setting.
  • You will need to have experience of completing analytical assessments and reports, developing and delivering robust intervention plans to address offending behaviour and be able to demonstrate experience of effectively engaging children and young people. 
  • A good understanding of Youth Offending Service Safeguarding and Risk management principles, Case Management, and knowledge of Youth Justice Legislation is needed as well as a strong understanding of the issues facing young people who are involved in offending.
