Temporary until 31st July 2022

A temporary vacancy for a part time Occupational Therapist within the North Locality Adult Team, due to the temporary secondment of the current post-holder.  This is an exciting time to be join the team promoting independence and maximising the potential of the citizens of Walsall.

We have recently appointed a new and forward thinking leadership team that has brought a renewed focus on professional practice development across the workforce, to ensure we promote positive and improved outcomes for all our service users.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Team to help shape and deliver our services, and develop and champion a model of best practice for the Area.

You will be a registered Occupational Therapist and have experience of completing moving and handling assessments. Experience of undertaking assessments with children would advantageous.

You will have a proven record of working with an enabling and strengths based focus with customers.  You will have an up to date knowledge of therapy interventions and knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act as well as Safeguarding awareness.

You will have an active CPD programme as a member of peer support group for Occupational Therapists.
