We have a wonderful opportunity within the Child Asylum & 16 Plus Team for a suitably qualified Assistant Team Manager. Within this well established and stable team, you will lead and manage a group of Social Worker’s and Personal Advisor’s and will have responsibility to the support a range of young people who are looked after and care experienced.

Located in our modern offices at Chelmsley Wood, the team is viewed by OFSTED as universally GOOD following our recent inspection. An important part of the role is to provide support to work in partnership with key agencies and work with colleagues in the team to develop services for all of our young people up to their 25th birthday.

You will also be part of the leadership team, to promote a learning environment within the team and develop the skills of team members to enable them to do their job well.

A clear understanding of safeguarding is critical to this role. A strong working knowledge of Child Care Legislation (Volume 2 & 3 of the Children Act 1989 and the Children, Leaving Care Act 2000) and an understanding of immigration regulations, policy and procedures is required for this role.

You will also hold a Social Work Degree (or equivalent) and be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
