School Principal

Values Academy is a charity which runs independent schools for young people aged 11 to 19 in Birmingham and Nuneaton. Our mission is to improve quality of life for young people through values-based education. Since 2009 we have been supporting pupils who have special educational needs or emotional, behavioural and social difficulties to achieve great academic results while learning the values that build character.

The board of trustees are looking for a new School Principal who shares our commitment to values education, the most important of which to us are respect, courage, honour, compassion and integrity. As we already have strong SEN and pastoral leadership in place you will be expected to focus on the school's educational strategy which is outlined on the development plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that pupils have the best learning experience and achieve outcomes which pave the way for further education, employment and life as an independent adult.

To apply for this role you will

  • have successful leadership experience as a School Principal or Deputy
  • have a proven track record of teaching and supporting others to improve their teaching practice
  • be an impressive communicator who will inspire confidence amongst pupils, teachers, parents and other stakeholders
  • have up to date knowledge of policies and guidance relating to Alternative provision, Independent Schools and Education in general

Values Academy is committed to safeguarding young people and as such this role will be offered subject to an enhanced DBS and NCTL prohibition check.
