Job Details

Senior Building Control Officer - Ref: EE43220
Salary G9: £33,448 - £38,506 per annum.

We are looking for a commercially driven, forward thinking person to be part of the Building Control team providing a high quality building control service for a diverse range of projects. 

As an excellent communicator you will negotiate with business partners and construction professionals, provide pre-submission advice, plan approvals, undertake site inspections and keep accurate records. You will also take part in the Council’s ‘out of hour’s dangerous structures’ service.
 
You should have experience of dealing with a range of building projects together with a confident understanding of current building regulations, construction practice and procedures.  This will be backed up by a degree or working towards an appropriate degree qualification in a construction related subject, or equivalent, holding or working towards membership of the RICS, CABE, or similar would be an advantage.
