Worcestershire County Council in response to Covid 19 and the growing challenge of Youth Unemployment, is looking to recruit a Careers and Employment Advisor to work with young people in Worcestershire.

Worcestershire County Council's Skills team delivers the Careers and Enterprise Company programme which supports young people focused on Years 7 and above  to improve their careers education as well as programmes to support people who are out of work. These exciting Careers and Employment Advisor roles will work both through our educational establishments providing Careers Advice and Guidance to years 11, 12 and 13 students but also working out in our communities to support those young people whose employment status has been affected by Covid 19 and are now seeking employment. 

The successful applicant will work across Worcestershire offering support and guidance as needed to a high standard, being qualified to Level 6 in Information, Advice and Guidance and needing strong communication, interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail and being self-motivated.

Reporting to and working closely with a range of partners, you’ll work with the Council teams, Local Enterprise Partnership, Education establishments across Worcestershire as well as interacting with young people whilst ensuring that your role contributes to deliver the desired outputs, outcomes and benefits, in line with the programme. Reporting to the Careers Hub Deputy Manager these roles will work in education establishments and venues around the county as well as in our Wildwood campus in Worcester over 35 hours a week.
