We are seeking a fair trading officer to provide legal and practical advice relating to consumer protection legislation and provide a comprehensive casework service to negotiate resolution in civil disputes between consumers and traders.

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: Grade 7 

Location: 3 St James Road, Dudley, DY1 1HZ

You will have experience of providing legal advice to the public and/or businesses and possess either a trading standards qualification or a law degree with willingness to train for a trading standards qualification. Good communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work under pressure. A DBS Basic check is required.
