Job Details
A full-time Appointeeship Officer is required to join the existing team.
The Appointeeship Unit manages the financial affairs of people who are unable to manage their finances themselves due to mental incapacity and who lack any suitable family or friends, who are willing and able to act on their behalf.
The post holder will assist the Senior Appointeeship Officer in the management of the Appointeeship Units Clients financial affairs working in line with all relevant legislation concerning Appointeeship, Deputyship and Agency Powers and will ensure that accurate and up to date records of Service Users’ finances/assets are maintained at all times.
The successful applicant will need be an effective communicator and be confident in meeting members of the public, hold GCSE’s or equivalent to include a minimum Grade C in Maths and English and will have knowledge or experience of working with welfare benefits, working with financial systems, working with the Court of Protection and financial institutions and an awareness of the financial aspects of Social Care.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check will be required for this role.
