We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Assistant working in a very Residential Team in Pensnett.

To provide administrative and clerical support to Adult Social Care. The role will involve both supporting social care staff with the intermediate care admission and discharge process and liaising with domiciliary care at home providers to source packages of care. This will also include working alongside health and supporting in the hospital discharge process. Working days Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday all day.

Hours: 18.5 per week

Salary:  Grade 4

You need to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in line with Financial Regulations and Audit. You should be able to work on your own initiative with your own workload, though you will be part of a large team. You will need to be hardworking, flexible and approachable to meet the business needs.

You will provide a comprehensive range of business support within the team and management. The role will include processing payments for Adult Social Care with support from Social Care Staff, Health Care Professionals and Senior Management, this also includes liaising with Accountancy, Commissioning and Finance Teams.

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
